Niamh was born into a sporting family with her parents competing in international rowing and her brother as a high level swimmer. Niamh’s parents took her out on rides at a young age and aged 8 joined her to local club Derby Mercury, where she learnt the ropes and developed a real love for the track which continues nearly a decade later.
Niamh tried cross and road but still found that track was her favourite, going through the British Cycling RSR and NSR program and representing the East Midlands at The School Games, Track Inter Regionals and Youth Tour of Scotland. Niamh’s favourite events are the elimination, scratch, madison and keiran
“As a second year junior I’m really targeting the junior track nationals and will be competing in the senior track nationals, derby and newcastle track leagues throughout the year as preparation I’m hoping to attend a few international races on the road and grow closer with the team in my final year as a junior”
